Christmas Fayre
The Mayor and Mayoress of Wirral came along on Saturday 6th December 2008 to open our Christmas Fayre. The Mayor was welcomed by the Friends group committee,the new reverend of St Andrews Church, Martin Truscott and of course Father Christmas.
There were a variety of stallholders and activities for the children included craft work tables and face painting.
The fabulous Christmas Hamper that was kindly was donated by Esther McVey was won by Mrs Roberts of Meols. There were various other raffle prize winners and all have been notified.
The proceeds of the day totalled to £362
Many thanks to all who attended and to all the helpers, Alma, Carol, Dary, Esther, Fiona, Rachel, Sarah, Seana, Sue, Yvonne, Mike, Tom, Roy.
A special thanks to Sue,who made 2 wonderful Welsh Cakes for the Mayor and Mayoress to take home with them. There was a particularly strong welsh flavour to the event.
