Bulb Planting Day
Saturday 18th October 2008 at 11am
We had a Bulb Planting Day in the Park. The Hoylake Open Spaces group kindly donated some bulbs for us and Lyn Greenstreet a Wirral Ranger, kindly came along to talk to the children about the importance of planting in parks and a general talk about the best way to plant bulbs. We planted around 700 Bulbs along the full length of the park railings in both the Lower and Upper Green park. We also planted around some of the trees and we hope that come next Spring we will have a good show of colour in the Park. Thanks to all who turned up on what was a bright sunny morning, also thanks to the family from down South who were visiting friends in Meols, who ended up giving a helping hand.
